Now, we've hit upon the basics with the Art of Rules, but let's go into how we expect you to act on the site. The disciplinary actions follow the same line as those in the general rules.
The Big Deal: Treat others the way you want to be treated. That's not to much to ask, right? If someone says something that you don't agree with, then don't scream and curse and go on and on about it. That's just gunna piss us off, as well as everyone around you.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T: The Admins and the Mods aren't here to supress your oh so creative ideas, or to limit exactly how much fun you are allowed to have here. Our purpose is to make sure everything stays in order, and that the site is fair for all. That means that if you get reprimanded, or we tell you to stop something or change anything, we expect it to happen. It's for the good of the site, even if that's not clear to you at the moment. Trust us, alright?
The Little Things: There are a few regulations we must insist on to keep things organized. The one we touch on the most is your display name. We have to insist you use the name of one of your characters. It makes finding and talking to you much easier, as well as gives everyone around you a clearer picture of your identity. After all, it can be kinda hard to distinguish between .:Zuko:. and .:.Zuko.:. in everyday conversations, can't it?
Threads of the Tapestry: The general boards and all off the OOC areas are places where you can talk about whatever your heart desires, and so we try to give you unlimited room to play. But, there a few things you can do that just make you seem like a total idiot, and that's no fun for anyone. For example, if you're bored and don't have anyone to RP with at the time, don't just make a billion and seven polls, and expect us to be okay with it. Finding a thread is much easier when you don't have to wade through thirty different threads about 'Chuck Norris = God y/y?'. We're not saying that you can't make more than X amount of threads a day, but just think before you send.
On Topic: It happens all the time; people are discussing something on a thread, when another topic comes up. Two people end up discussing it, and taking up five pages of irrelevant information. If you end up getting off topic, then switch to PMs, or make a new thread all together. Please don't interject something into what people are already discussing, alright?
None of this stuff should be a hardship on anyone. It's all common sence, really. So, have at you, enjoy yourselves. Just try to think about the consequences your actions have on the other RPers, mkay? Okay then.
